Rydal Park
Dining and Commons

The social and physical heart of Rydal Park is the dining experience. Rydal Park had an existing café and buffet style dining; but, this most important of social experiences felt isolated from the heart of the community. At meal time, too many residents would simply cue up at the “dining hall” door, file inside and a half-hour or so later return to their apartment to await the next meal. The objective of the Rydal Park dining and commons renovation was to extend the opportunity, time, quality and variety of dining and social experiences available to residents, staff and visitors. To accomplish this goal a little used interior courtyard, adjacent to the front lobby and the corridor outside dining, was enclosed to become a signature club room, welcoming residents and visitors and inviting both to linger for conversation, drinks and appetizers. A coffee kiosk, conveniently located off the main lobby invites residents to a mid-morning coffee and danish while visiting with a friend who might happen along the main lobby and corridor. Nearby are a bustling café’, hospitality suite, library and day spa, all designed to provide hospitable social experiences.
