Scope
SCA was engaged by HumanGood to develop a proposal for renovations to the kitchen and dining areas of at The Mansion at Rosemont. The existing dining facilities are highly regarded by its residents, but falls short in terms of space for accessibility, variety in dining venues, and areas for community gathering. The kitchen, while operating sufficiently, has opportunities for improvement in the layout of its cooking line and efficiencies of spatial flow. The new proposal includes a reconfigured dining space that utilizes an outdoor patio and is laid out to allow for the comfortable movement of residents using wheelchairs and walkers, as well as storage spaces to facilitate a valet-style service for these items. The proposal also introduces a fast-casual bistro, bar, and "grab 'n go" market, including seating areas that are open outside of dining hours for community gathering. Additionally, the kitchen has been reconfigured to maximize space and facilitate efficient workflows.
