Scope:

Embassy Suites is the anchor tenant of a 400,000 square foot, mixed-use, historic renovation in Louisville, Kentucky. The former Hilliard Lyons Center, also home to Stewart’s Dry Goods, is the new home for the Embassy Suites and other retail tenants.  SCA, the design architect; and, Potter & Associates, the architect of record, worked with a team of stakeholders to create a 310-suite hotel including three interior atria, accessible by the hotel guests; and, one private floor of 38 extended executive suites. Hotel amenities include 8,000 square feet of meeting space, underground valet parking, an indoor swimming pool; and, full room service provided by an associated, four-star restaurant. The inviting and hospitable hotel lobby, open to hotel guests and residents of the local community, includes a water feature reminiscent of the buildings past history, the warmth of a 16-foot-wide fireplace; and an environmentally friendly “living” wall.
