John (Johnny) thrives on building relationships with stakeholders and being able to guide them through any challenges that arise.   His colleagues appreciate his ability to communicate to all participants of a project to help achieve the client’s ultimate vision. A registered architect in North Carolina, Florida, Virginia and Indiana, Johnny has been in the building industry for 31 years. SCA’s client-relationship culture and prospects for growth prompted him to join the firm three years ago.  Since then, he has built relationships with some of SCA’s long term clients and looks to continue the positive established connections. Previously, Johnny worked as a project architect and associate at a medium sized firm, where he honed his skills in managing multi-family and commercial projects from design through construction administration. Johnny’s passion for architecture dates to his pre-teen years, when he was searching for a conduit to help structure his artistic abilities.  He received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Outside of the office, Johnny enjoys spending time with his wife, being active in his church, and watching his son play baseball.
