Scope:

Brow Wood is a planned community for adults 55 years and over situated on picturesque Lookout Mountain. Designed to create connections and appeal to a broad market, the community consists of 26 brow lots for custom homes with spectacular views; and, 73 cottage lots accommodating homes of 1400 to 2200 heated square feet, all fee-simple products. The homes are planned to be within easy walking distance to a host of amenities including; a town green, clubhouse/wellness center, brow pavilion, gardens and green space, retail shops, assisted living; and, fitness, sports, cultural and educational programs offered by the local college, one mile away. As the “Town Architect” SCA wrote the design guidelines and continues to review all new home submissions. Additionally, the firm has planned and designed many of the custom homes, the Villas, the Assisted Living/Memory Care, the signage, the pavilion and future clubhouse; and, is currently designing a multi-use wellness center. The wellness center includes amenity spaces designed to be flexible and make connection to outdoor rooms and gardens; and, to be open to the extended Lookout Mountain community, particularly local college students. From site planning to building design, attention is given to sustainable and environmentally responsible practices that build a community which reflects the unique character and sense of place that is Lookout Mountain.
